yes it is true.
you must have SP2 in place to download just about any microshit app.
I guess it is their way of pushing it.
I tried to d/l a microshit app for programing (.net) and I get a message saying that sp2 had to be in place first. screw them! sp2 is nothing more than a firewall, popup blocker ands other stuff that I have already. and my stuff don't fuck things up.
