Did you ever stop to think that the kid wasn't threatend for his life. They were obviously settling some sort of difference. Cameras, other kids, etc. Sure he wanted to win but not to the point where he would risk killing the guy that was beating him by ripping off his nads.

Ahhh, I understand your point, and where you are going. Yep, you are right, the stakes weren't just that high, and though he did go for eyes and pulling hair, it all went out the window.
Don't foget biting too, he had ample oppurtunity there.
