But
Gonzo is a personal friend of mine that I have known for years and i honestly think this is a perception issue. I think anyone that has gone to shows and has met him generally likes the guy and if you know him you know how he does things. He'll say shit thats over the top just to illicit differing opinions about a subject. I have disagreed with him strongly on more then one occasion and the conversation can be lively.
I imagine this is all about the Jordan Capri wedding night video and it must have been a good marketing scheme because it has obviously paid off for you and your affiliates. But where is the problem with Gonzo or anyone else questioning it? I doubt it had any impact on you or your business at all.
I mean look, here is another multi-page thread about it heh heh

After I left WEG, everytime I had dinner with Gonzo, and even on the boards, he asked me when I was going to "get a job". Unbeknowngst to me, apparently per Gonzo and a few others (12Clicks being one of them) the only time I've worked in 14 years of being in the adult biz was the 18 months I was with WEG. Hell, even my text based freesites could probably support me and they're about 10% of my income.
If only the people who are defending him knew what he said about them behind his backs. In fact, I can't think of anyone Gonzo hasn't badmouthed at some point or another.
So Steve - just consider yourself one of the "Gonzo doesn't like us" crowd We hold meetings each Wednesday at the corner Catholic church basement.

ok we were hypothetically talking about how would i feel about that hacking thing.
I put very little stock in what other people think or say about someone honestly. There is usually baggage of some sort attached with it both good and bad. I have chatted briefly with you on ICQ and did not have a problem at all. Found you to be pleasant enough guy, but if i took into account what other people might or might not have said about you i might have a different opinion......
so as not to try and be all cloak and dagger about it you and Gonzo dont get along, i know that, but i still didnt make any descisions about you until I had chatted with you myself. Thats how I am. I wonder how many people in this thread have actually met Gonzo or are just jumping because others they DO know dont like him.
I know or suspect why some of the people in this thread do not 'like' gonzo, my initial post was just an explanation as to how i think the problem between Steve Lightspeed and Gonzo occurred and to wonder outloud why Steve Lightspeed would care.
with a brief adjustment thanks to Serge I can say 'it hasnt effected Steve's business in a negative way so why should he care?'

Gonzo should care because every time he does something 1/2 assed - it affects my monthly checks I get from him. How can he live with himself knowing that his cackomany projects negatively affect my cash flow!?
I personally wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I thought that my shit affected gonzo's cash flow, but this is just me, my high horse and my higher moralE grounds.***************************************

Gonzo is one of those who will talk shit to you behind your back, or on a board very few people read.
There aren't many things Gonzo is known for, in fact I can't think one. I see Steve's point of taking affront of his marketing skills when some idiot who's claim to fame is he bought a messasge board tells him he did a "marketing fuckup".

I honestly don't. I read this entire thread before i posted and I saw a lot of talk along these lines. I don't doubt that everyone who said this believes it to be true, some posters even said they didn't know who Gonzo is. My point is this..... very few people in the industry know who I am or really much about me, I don't try and keep anything secret, i'm just a quiet guy especially on boards.
So if i stood up and I said 'The Owner of __________ program is a fucking idiot' and EVERYONE knew and respected him. I would expect the drive by 'you're an idiot' response from a few but to be utterly ignored by everyone.
So I have to wonder about 2 things, just how unimportant IS Gonzo?
and is this thread another marketing scheme thats working out pretty well for Steve? (Gonzo should get a commission or something)
If it were me I am not sure I would come here and try to address this thread, I don't see how it could possibly benefit Gonzo's interest at all. He made a post about this on his board already.
