How do you stay out of the day to day

drama between people that you know.

if you are like me and have been in the business for awhile, you know alot of people that also know and work with each other. recently, i was put in a situation to pick a side. i refused and asked the parties to handle it amongst themselves. i could tell that both wanted me to get their back. i mearly explain to people that i am like geneva or switzerland and to not bring me into their deals. i have 0 enemies in this business and don't intend to ever have any. my personal opinion is to keep to yourself, do what you do, and not get involved with other peoples issues.

if two of my friends want to fight, so be it, i will pretend that nothing is going on and let them handle it, and if they don't i will go on being friends with both of them because it's all about business.

too many people can't seperate business from friends. the line is very clear.

I continually remind myself I'm not a child.
Adults "should" be able to control their day-to-day emotions and behave in a respectable, level-headed manner.

I say "should", because it rarely seems to happen because most people are too much of pussies and lack the strength.

          *shrug*

I'm by no means calling the people you know pussies. Just everyone I seem to meet in daily life.
          Your post count means nothing.

i think the word "friend" is too loosely used in this business? what is your definition of friend?

a lot of people confuse acquaintance and friend. an acquaintance is 95% of the people you meet at a show. a friend is someone you can call if your ass is in a sling and they will actually come through for you and vice versa, you for them.

                It's becoming increasingly difficult.

Almost everyday I find out someone I know doesn't like someone ELSE I know.

Thankfully it hasn't been a problem to this point, but not being one to get involved in drama, I need to watch what and where I post more often than not.
