probably 6:30ish on Saturday. Downtown Vancouver. Doesn't reallymatter though, i'd just rather not drive much further away from the border since we'd be driving home after din-din

FYI, downtown is mostly closed to non-residential traffic that day

Like other people already mentioned, there are Fireworks that night in English Bay in downtown Vancouver. Downtown will be shit packed. At least 1 million people will be watching the fireworks from all over including boats, apartments and at the beaches. Afterwards, they all try and leave, it's complete caos usually. Every street by the beach looks like oceans of people walking. Driving downtown will be close to impossible if they let you down there at all.

And I happen to have a ocean view apartment on Beach Ave.
Who wants to party during the fireworks?

How are the streets downtown. In Seattle it's a fucking nightmare of like 70 degree angle hills n shit once you get deep into downtown. I drive stick so I fucking hate those things

Haha, Seattle isn't that bad :P
Most of downtown is relatively flat. It's going to be a traffic *nightmare* if you go on a fireworks night though.

it is pretty bad sometimes. its full of jack offs that get 2 inches from my bumper on a hill that would make my car roll back a good foot or so before moving forward.
