I didn't replace mine. I bought a VX2000 a while back and love it. That camera is a fucking work horse. It can take some pretty heavy abuse.

I got the XL1S on an ebay deal where I got a DSR-11 and an XL1S for $2500. A $2200 camera and a $1200 chunk of hardware for $2500 was too good to pass up. So the XL1S has always just been a secondary camera that I don't like or use. The XL1S is good, but the mics suck. They pick up EVERY internal sound the camera makes, and every time you move your fingers or move the camera you can hear it on playback. They're only good if you use mics not mounted to the camera.

I get videos to edit all the time, and I can tell if they used an XL1S just by the audio.

I would be interested... but as it was said above, its good deal, but not a great one. Not goon enough to get my impluse buyers juices flowing anyways.

Might still be interested depending... if you dont get any bites... hit me ina day or two and we will work out a deal.

My extra 3x wide lens is what adds alot of value to this Sinister....do you have this extra lens? The value of the 3x wide is $1500.00 retail and they go for around $800 alone on ebay.

1500 + 800 = 2.3k ... the lens isn't really a deal for used .

It wasn't a bad price ... but really not a good offer...
