A week? What planet are you from?

Even if they notify you a year before, you should be able to renew the domain the last day if you so wanted. If you cant, then your register fucked up.

If you are going to buy a house and have signed all contracts but 1.
And the broker tells you that you must come by the end of the month to sign the last contract. You should be able to come the last day of the month and sign it, IF they have closed their office due to some problem they have on their own and you cant contact the broker in ANY WAY and because of that you lose the house, then THEY fucked up.

Very simple and logic.
