Ok... enjoy playing your Xbox or PS2 ... which incidentally use a joypad, which was incidentally invented by Nintendo back in the 80's .... (they still hold the cross D-pad patent) ....
Nintendo are innovators. They innovate more than anyone else ... and everyone else COPY Nintendo. Hell, the PS2 pad is just an altered SNES pad design. And that's a fact.

Retarded means to hinder.... since the Wii control system offers far more flexibility than ANY other control system... I think you'll find that your statement is possibly closer to retarded than the Wii controller
