                                          qmail + qmail admin makes life easy

                                          or sendmail or exim I believe is another thang to work email for ya

                                          hire someone cheap from scriptlance or elance to set it up on your box for you, it's worth saving the time and headache of doing it youself unless you are a glutton for admin-pain

                                                              Depends on the host - some (especially managed servers) will set it up for you, others there is usually something in your control panel interface to set it up for each domain - from there you just have to get the pop settings set up in your email program.
