    Got my PS3...wow...

    So after camping out and waiting in line for around 13 hours and NOT getting a PS3 I had the chance the other night to get a brand new unopened just purchased one from a friend's friend. So I did. Went out bought HDMI cables, Resistence Fall of Man, and Superman Returns BluRay.

    First off the system is a lot bigger than I was expecting, bigger and heavier than the origianl Xbox maybe? Not sure but it looks sleek and nice. Was going to go into detail about what I did with it, but all in all Superman Returns on Blu Ray was great, much nicer than Suerman Returns on DVD. Fall of Man looks and plays pretty good too for a First Person Shooter. I miss the rumble feature in the controller, but wireless is nice and the same old design for PS controllers are still my favorite.

    So: Me + PS3 =

    Anyone know how Fight Night Round 3 is for it? I already have it for 360, but was thinking of trading that in for the PS3 version. And any other games that are good on it?

                          It's virtually unchanged. There is a little more detail on the boxer's bodies, but the far away crowds look like something from Sega Genesis. They also added a first person mode and some boxing "styles" you can choose from.

                          The only other good games for it right now are Call of Duty 3 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, unless you are into the EA Sports games, but I don't care for them. The new Rainbow Six game might be out now for it too, not sure if it is released yet though.

                                  Damn I was hoping Fight Night might have had some major upgrades, but if it's basically the same then there isn't really a point in getting it since I already have the 360 version.

                                  And uhh...I'm a He not a She... hehe.

                                          I'll have to wait a year to see any 'good' games on the PS3 when compared to the 360, atm the 360 looks superior in almost every comparison I have seen... especially that marvel game, the PS3 version is actually LAGGY lol.

                                                                                  haha Just never borrow his PSP...don't want know where it's been.

                                                                                  And yeah traded my friend's friend my Wii + 5 games (that I was forced to buy when I got my Wii because of Fry's stupid bundle package on launch day) for the PS3. I kept Zelda though, I have a feeling I'll be getting another one wii down the road.

                                                                                              Always takes the developers a while to get the hang of a new system. They may think they can do something, or want to try something but it doesn't work out then you see better games (Hopefully...) coming out around a year or so later on the systems. So in that respect 360's definitely got the advantage since it's already been out a year and good games seem to finally be on the way and coming out for it. But PS3 has more developers working with them so the amount of games and progress from mediocre to good should be quicker than 360's...but we won't know till it actually happens.

                                                                                              I just wish developers would stop making cross platform games. Sure makes them more money because it reaches a wider audience, not everyone has every system. But when you have to dumb down code so that you can easily port it between systems it takes out of what you could end up with if you made it solely for a specific system...

                                                                                                  Haha yeah man Superman looked great on the plasma with the HDMI all hooked up. Blu Ray should make special features in movies expand a lot too, since they can fit soo much crap on those.

I'm gonna hook it up tonight and tell you how it is. I really bought it for my friend though cuz I already have the Wii and I'm kinda bored of the regular controllers now after playing the Wii.

                                                                                                                              Yeah, it's more just for the fun of waiting out. At that time I was hoping to get one and then sell it on ebay heh, well at least as the night went on I was. I missed getting it the first time around by two people. And the people who did get it had been waiting there since tuesday morning system came out friday morning...that's crazy.
