honestly it doesn't matter how "proper" the language... i could speak in tongues and i still wouldn't get my shit back. the fact that i bought my ticket for 1300US and have done so thru my travel agent many times on their airline pretty much eliminates the possibility that i'm an idiot or a scammer. i doubt they'll be changing their policy cuz i used perfect english in my complaint letter.... but thanks for the well wishes.
