    Why not enable RSS feeds on the board ?

    I think it's a great addon ... just tried it on another board and I'm amazed ... it's just awesome :P

      It add a HUGE load on the server.

      Although im sure if everyone wants the search offline again it could be arranged

          Awww fuck it's not possible to put it on another server ?

          How about programs ? are they any that takes message boards, download the main page every X ammount of time ... and turn them into feeds ?

              If the rss feed was only updated every x minutes would it really be that big of a load?

                  Also RSS feeds for vBulletin don't encorporate sigs and ads very well if at all. SHow me a board that does and I'll give it a look but we haven't been able to get a decent hack to work yet.

                  We disabled all RSS feeds on our boards.

                      Although an RSS feed of Thread Titles only and no thread content would work cause you would still have to click thru to the site to read.

                      Also it would give GFY a chance to syndicate their content to other sites for increased traffic and view. Mo Money! Mo Money!
