    Hey, can siomeone help me out with this, please ?

    I've been appointed a task for the boss, which is a little bit outside my usual area of expertise, and I was wondering if one of you guys please either help me out with the following or if not, at least point me in the direction of someone who can ?

    Here's what's required.
    There is an actual club in LA which is attended each weekend by a couple of hundred or so people. In order to attend, you first need to register online...

    This club also has various different promoters.

    What is needed is a script that will do basically as follows...

    Promoter 'Tom" gets "Tim & Tammy" interested in attending the club...
    As a direct result of toms approach, they are interested enough to check it out, so they click on a relevant link, and then they are sent to 'Toms' Entry Page...

    When they hit 'Toms ' page a cookie is set, which is good for at least 6 months, (But ideally its good for a year...) Then, should they at anytime in the future, decide to go online and sign up to attended the club, even if they have forgtton all about Tom, and just go in the sites 'front door'...

    Tom gets credited with bringing in that couple...

    Now, when I was asked to do this, I thought.. Ahh OK a basic affiliate scheme... No biggy... Just pop over to 'hotscripts' or similar, download a simple freebie script, and I'm done...

    But all of the scripts I have found so far do thousands of things that are not needed or required now or in the future...

    I don't need online affiliate logins for stats or anything fancy...There will only ever be about 10 promoters at any one time, and as they are all on payroll anyhow, its only the management that need to know the details...

    What's more, although I obviously am looking to find a solution that works... It all truth, it doesn't even have to really be 100% totally accurate, all the time...

    We aren't talking about fortunes being made or broken...
    Its only real purpose is just to give the bosses some general feedback on whose getting the best results with their promoting styles...

    So, I'm just looking for something NICE AND SIMPLE..

    But, I cannot find it anywhere...

    Hence this post... So...

      If I was a promoter and being paid, I would want to see my stats

      (never rule out expandable options for future use)

                  Yeah, I see your point, but upon re-reading the way I explained what I needed, I guess it does sound a bit 'sketchy"...
                  But thing is that allthough I totally understand your point...
                  The promoters are paid the exact same per week,
                  Regardless of the quotas of new members...
                  (Admittidly, this is partly down to the fact that the numbers are currently unknown anway...)

                  However that said, all I'm trying to do, is to provide a solution to a problem that has been set...
                  I'm not trying to change the world... And fact is, if I cant help, someone else will do it eventually...

                  Again agreed, expandible options are fine... Jusrt not 2 million uneeded options from the start...

                      Nope... Sorry but as I said, when I was asked I just assumed (Inncorectly) I could grab a free script from somewhere...

                      As far as I can see, its just a case of setting a cookie, at a certain page, that stays with the user and can be read at a later date...
                      I wouldnt have thought it was a difficult thing to do, if you understand the logistics behind setting cookies, but I dont...
                      I;m at home in photoshop...

                      But what kinda cash are you looking for ?
                      I can allways ask the boss, and the worst he can say is 'NO"...

                              www.clickman.com maybe able to be adapted but that would probably cost a $1k.
