I once almost stepped on one, I mean literally. It is now as a stuffed in my living room. Though not the last one I have encountered, but one stuffed adder is enough. The rest have slithered away. I have also eaten adder (not killed by me). It is legal in here to kill adders, but of course you don't have to.
