                          Ik geef toe, mijn daad en dat filmke en de bijhorende foto?s die ik maar niet zal publiceren zijn zeker niet normaal, maar ik zou het nu ook niet als ziekelijk bestempelen. Dat katje was heel waarschijnlijk ten dode opgeschreven, ik heb de lijdens weg ingekort, de manier waarop is inderdaad wel voor discussie vatbaar.
                          Waarom filmen en foto?s nemen? Een morbide fascinatie, en het zijn allemaal onderwerpen die mij aanspreken, de dood, fotografie, het lijden?
                          En net als Alien vind ik het ook iets hebben, een vorm van drama.
                          Ben ik nu een ziekelijk monster? Bwa, misschien voor sommigen. Ik vind van niet. Het doden van dieren is nu eenmaal eigen aan ons mensen, dagelijks worden er miljoenen dieren afgeslacht om ons te voeden, een groot deel met minder pijnlijke methodes, anderen met nog pijnlijkere methodes. Op het einde van de Ramadan vinden ontelbare schapen de dood op deze manier.
                          En wie herinnert zich niet de scene van een zwoegende Flor in ?Stanly?s route??
                          Toen ik klein was kweekte mijn vader schapen, kippen en zwijnen die wij toen slachtten in de tuin. Onthoofden, de keel oversnijden, luchtdrukpistool? Toen werd voor mij de link gelegd tussen een levend dier, en het geen er op mijn bord lag.
                          Ok, een kat eet je niet op, toch hier niet. Een kat heeft een hoge aaibaarheidsfactor. Maar in wezen is een kat niet anders dan een kip of een koe.
