Fuck you DHL

this is the second time in 2 weeks they have lost a package being delivered to me... last time was 1GB RAM and this time it's a new Canon digital camera

why the fuck is it so hard to bring a box to door?

oh and two months ago FedEx smashed the massive box that had my new light kit in it, which broke two bulbs costing $59 each

thanks Tony, they just called me back... they're trying to find out what the driver did with the box

they say he left it on someone's door, which is lovely considering it poured fucking cats and dogs last nite

thanks everyone... here's the update: got it safe and sound, it went to the wrong address but at least the guy had it inside last nite and all day today

DHL must read GFY cuz the delivery guy brought it over within 30 mins of this post! LOL

If the driver feels it is in a reasonably safe location that is not in plain view they can leave it without signature, unless of course the shipper demands that it must have a signature. Most shippers do not demand this though.

SIGH!!! That is what really pisses me off about ALL of the shipping companies. It doesn't matter how many HUGE stickers are on the box, DHL, UPS, and FedEx delivery people will just throw any shipment at any convenient doorway. Even if the box has "SIGNATURE REQUIRED!" labels and stickers on every friggin' side of the box, that just doesn't matter anymore. As long as the driver throws the box off the truck on anything close to schedule, that's all they care about.

it was marked for signature required, but as many people pointed out that's meaningless to a delivery guy... and DHL admitted total fault, tho they called it mis-delivered which i find kinda funny now... but man was i pissed off this afternoon

I busted him a few weeks ago when he said he had a teaser card for baseball.

The FedEx Guy, the UPS guy and the DHL guy all hit on our secretaries hardcore, although the FedEx Guy is in the lead now because he brought them all ice cream two days ago.

We get excellent service, all 3 guys show up all the time, without needing to pick up or drop things off haha.

FedEx dude also has an advantage in the uniform category. The UPS uniforms are played out and my DHL guy looks like a giant banana in his ridiculous uniform.

I guess it's a lot different depending of aeras ... arround here like I said, I never had ANY problems getting a package through (except a dell package but that was dell's fault). Always good service, make me sign and a big smile ...

But when I shipped stuff ... it was always delayed, out of schedule etc.

They will leave it in a porch or inside a door, BUT they're supposed to leave a card in your mailbox TELLING you where it is-unless it specifically requires a signature.

However, I've said it before and I'll say it again, as a former DHL subcontractor, they're incredibly disorganized and their employees seem to think "Fragile" is Italian for "Kick me, for I'm a soccer ball."

DHL lost the title to my car. I live in CT, and they sent it to fucking OREGON. It took two extra WEEKS to get the god damn thing, and I was insuring a very expensive car the whole time without the damn title ....

they lost a mini-bike and wound up delivering a month after the original scheduled delivery. I had to threaten to take it to GFY if they didn't get it here. DHL is a waste
