yeah i understand the desire to be current. but changing something that works to something new is a gamble. the history is this...moving from 98 to XP was a fiasco due to drivers. moving from XP to vista was a fiasco, everyone hated vista. & moving from 7 to 8 was a fiasco, everyone hated the tiles. to gamble with the OS of the most important appliance in my life? nope. i'll buy a cheap laptop if i want win 10.

glad that OP fixed his issue though.

You sound like my Dad. Still rocking Windows 7 and an old CRT TV.

Think I'll stay with Win 7 for a while. It works, works smoothly and despite what Microsoft says, I've read some nightmare stories about program compatability even though it's website assures you older programs will work.

I went from 98 to 2k. Best thing ever. 2k to XP, eh. XP to 7.

This is the best version of windows ever and the last one in case you have not heard. They operating system is now a dynamic growing and adapting OS which will run on multiple devices including desktops, laptop, tablets, and phones.

Microsoft hit this one out of the ballpark. Well done indeed.
