    Wierd letter any ideas?

    Hi uk people i got a letter on sat

    From what looked like a debt collection service the letter came second class and i did not have to sign for it. It says i owe them £1150 But i havent spent or brought anything for that amount and i havent had any warning letters previous to this. The wierd thing is that i couldnt turn up the address or company in google. And they diddnt state the name of the company they were collecting the money for it only had an address no company name. It did have a 0870 number to ring but all i got was an ansering machine

    Any ideas

                              I get letters and notices like that all the time, and you know what? there is still a nice big pile of them behind my front door, I don't even waste my time picking them up anymore

                              It's definately a debt agency...trust me ;)

                                      i saw a show a long time ago (nightline-20/20-one of those type shows, cant remember what one) about scammers who send out shit like this cause 1 out of 10000 people will get nervous and send the fuckers money. its a scam.

                                          Considering the costs of stamps, paper, etc. I'd say he'd need to "convert" below 1:1000.

                                          1:10k is his jailtime conversion
