lol, I knew that but for some reason I thought it was a resizing trick too...
FYI Canon RAW files actually have
3 versions of the same image embedded in them (thumb jpeg, medium jpeg, raw data). It's not uncommon for people to complain that they can 'see' an image in the folder, but their graphics prog refuses to open it because the raw data is corrupt.
