                  We ran a premium rate SMS chat project for a while ... IMHO it's very tough to make a buck through it ... telco takes 75% of the revenue, then you have gateway costs and talent costs leaving you with a few cents per message. Then there are lots of issues to do with Flirt v's Sex chat and what's allowed in what countries etc etc.

                  All that said I can hook you up with the guys to talk to if you want to get into it.

                          I've got to agree with Synapse - I did a little bit of work for some guys in Europe who were setting one up and there probably isn't enough money in it to run an affiliate program.

                          They were looking at paid print advertising.

                                      This is big in Europe for quite a time now.

                                      Things are getting set up in US, but it costs quite some cash to get it going as the major providers want large cuts of course, also they bitch when it comes to adult / porn on their networks.

                                      I have some good ATT contacts that are on this, I'll let you def. know when it's launched to the public.

                                      With this market the US is far behind and the European guys have the experience with this

                                          The more services you choose to include in your 5 digit number the more its going to cost you. Every U.S. service is available but Nextel...Nextel does not support SMS messages on its servers.

                                          If a company does not give you the option to choose which Service Providers that you would like to go with then skip them.
