Basicaly all galleries I see here are way to graphical for my taste. Too confusing.
Golden rule is KISS (keep it stupid simple) works most of the times. You don't have to come up with ugly galleries, just make 'm easier on the eye. Right now I have no idea where to go as its confusing me. The background image looks awesome but in this case its not doing the gallery any good clicktr wise.
Simple blue underlined text links tellng the surfer where to click still work best imo.
