Too bad it's not wasabi. REAL wasabi is VERY expensive and not often served in American restaurants. What you are getting is dyed horseradish. A tablespoon of wasabi would cost more than your entire meal.

A local sushi place serves it on request only. It's not as expensive as you might think.

i agree with DP....you cant say its not real wasabi....i too have had real...ground from the plant wasabi.....in a sushi joint, and its not way expensive.....

Kunpao (or Kung Pao) is a style of Chinese Szechuan cooking, as in Kung Pao Chicken.

I think the word you were looking for is Kanpai (usally pronounced Kampai), which is the Japanese word for "cheers" (a toast).

Well, that wasabi probably cleared out your sinuses pretty good, although you should have put a disclaimer with your photos - "Do NOT try this at home".

I have not tasted wasabe and had no plans of eating one coz I heard its so hot. I have extremely low tolerance with hot foods.
