its possible but unlikely. i guess you would rather be cheated on time and time again because you're too classy to dig a bit deeper when something doesn't look right. if she has lied about this so far, she will just lie about it some more, make excuses, etc.

most people aren't in love with their employees. there is no emotional attachment, i don't even think its comparable. i wouldn't be talking to the employee though, they would just be fired.
