Love is a commitment. Pure and simple.
Those who cannot commit to the challenge of spending a lifetime with somone... should never get married.
Those who think they can commit to the challenge... Should never get married.
Those who KNOW they can and are confident that their partner can as well, should consider marriage if it suits them.

It really doesn't matter, fat, ugly, stupid... if love is there and the commitment is there... it is well worth the effort.

Otherwise, people need to stop kidding themselves. Sure, you can "love" someone and not have a commitment, but it's almost doomed from the start. If what you seek is "love", but you can't commit to the person... Be very sure that they are in the same place, otherwise you risk really hurting the person you supposedly "love". You might be better off, persuing something with no emotional attachment... maybe a blowup doll.
