I don't understand why some of you are blaming this on a sitewide search and replace as if it makes this any better.
That would mean they were screwing over EVERY subscriber of that feed and not just Karups!
Furthermore, Karups said it was on some pages but not others. A sitewide search and replace by a clueless employee would have put the ad's on all pages.
Uploading a few wrong files is unlikely also. That would imply a CMS is not in use, which is hard to believe. A CMS would not really allow for such a mistake in how they have described it (and what the screenshots show).Comment

mistakes made on both ends. there is no room for any prolonged emotional response in a business relationship - you have to be able to hang up the phone, cool off for a few mins, call back and worth things out in a civil manner. noone is ever perfect and mistakes can and will happen - those who make them have to offer an explanation, a plan to prevent the same mistake reoccurring and compensation if appropriate; the aggrieved party has to stop shouting and work through the issue.Comment

andreas was not able to articulate his points at all in the original thread, which made him look bad. ace doesnt appear to be able to put two words together if his life depended on it. this means they need a pr person, because neither can communicate effectively, but does not necessarily make them guilty of intentionally fucking lou over. all evidence points to a human error here.

You know what is sad? Before this I had alot of respect for Andreas. I thought he was stand up and running a kick ass operation.
Then the thread hit. I thought to myself this is a misunderstanding. I think everybody did. That's why Andreas had so many people backing him up.
Then Andreas started to reply. And now guess what? Lenny is the only one left defending him. Andreas won't post because he'll make himself look bad. Ace is unable to post first because Andreas needed his head a little deeper up his ass (after that whole mess) and second because nobody knows what the fuck that guy is saying anyhow.
Andreas has made and makes alot of money. It's all about principle. He could have avoided this so easily. Instead he mishandled it. He mishandled the situation when it first happened. Then he mishandled it by posting. The only smart thing he did was beg Lens to lock the thread. Lucky he has friends in high places or he'd still be ridiculed in that thread.

I've already conceded that Andreas was wrong and Lou was right. What I disagreed with was Lou saying "I know for a fact it was intentional"....when I personally know for a fact that it was not intentional.
Also, I don't think Lou should get to name his own price and then trash Andreas's reputation just because Andreas thought the price wasn't fair.
The punishment should fit the crime so to speak, and just like my hosting analogy, what Lou was asking for was way too much.....and the fact that he couldn't stop calling Andreas a thief and a crook while naming his own exorbitant price and not being willing to negotiate at all is a big part of the reason this wasn't settled in private and hit the boards.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Lou named a price he knew Andreas wouldn't pay just so that he could do this on the boards. He was pissed off.......fine.

yeah I wanted him to fuck us over so I could quote to him a very unreasonable offer which was 3 months of service back since I didnt know how long it had been going on and we had paid him each month for abour 4 years or so. My request was not at all unreasonable man. I dont know why you think it was, but its not. And you should pay attention. I am not a board whore. I do not go to the boards with problems. When he mishandled the situation and basically told me to get fucked I then wanted my pound of flesh so I then went to the boards. He had plenty of time to rectify this situation and he didnt so he must deal with all the consequences. And for the record, I do not need to hide behind a fake nick to get this bumped. I would have bumped it myself in another 2 weeks or so just like I am going to do in 2 weeks from now. It will be bumped by me if I want to do it.
