It's time to move on...

I am going to begin a more agressive marketing campaign starting now. What better way to kick it off than with a "Wear a FUCK COMUS t-shirt to Internext Summer 2005 and get Free Software" campaign!

The rules: If you want to participate, say so in a reply to this thread. Wear the shirt that you get in the mail to Internext Summer 2005 and provide photo proof. In turn, you get four free domain licenses to the future of TGP publishing; aptgp III. These are standard licenses and include forum support and upgrades until the next major release.

I hope the new updated script is much better then the one i bought along time ago. I own agp2.1.0c and it was by far one of the biggest pos software I ever bought. Your email responce and help was all too lacking as well. Not trying to dis you out as this was like april of 2004 when i bought it. Looks much better now just not willing to wager my cash again. Sorry I can only let people burn me once. Think i will stay with Comus

What's the big deal? Is this some kind of scam? What did I miss? Practically every person that has used comus that comes to aptgp III says "Why haven't I heard of this before?" So now you're hearing about it. Sorry if it ruffles your feathers...not really sure why it would though. I spend 10 hours a day talking to webmasters and improving my software. I am one person. I don't have time to market my product because I'm too busy developing it. So tell me how this won't turn out well. Because I've been on this board for over 2 years and don't have 20k posts? Is that why? Ok back to work.

I'm impressed that you've compared me to any multi-million-dollar cola company! Comparing APTGP III to AutoGallery is definitely a laugh. I was so delighted to see that they added Auto Levels after I did. Let's see them try to add Smart Blur. Not going to be able to steal that code off the web.

You could give away free licenses to established webmasters and do a much better job of building a reputation than any of this will ever do for you.

A good developer will shine on the merits of his work. Not try to demean or antagonize a competitor to build up his own image.

Someone mentioned your script to me the other day over ICQ. I looked at the site and was impressed. I have about 15 TGP's I would have considered testing it on and possibly replacing comus. After seeing this attack, I really don't care what's in the script anymore. If you don't have any kind of respect for other people in the business, what kind of respect could I possibly think I'd get from you as a customer?

Once you get it installed APTGP is much nicer to use than Comus - Lets face it, the Comus interface is a complete mess. Ive tried to use Comus 3 or 4 times and every time I delete it within 24 hours - and I have to say that "Fuck Comus" is a pretty familiar phrase to me.

APTGP on the other has a great interface. It is a joy to use after the Comus experiance. And of course the most important thing is that it works!

So I dont sound completly biased I will say that APTGP is a nightmare to install - and Ive installed thousands of scripts over the years, Im addicted to it! Also the documentaion is hard to follow, especially regarding the "satellite" sites. Im still trying to work that out.

Good luck with the promo. Im not sure if it is a good idea or not. If you dont freak out when people bitch at you for it you may just do well. You are going to need a very thick skin.
