Half topics 1st page are postwhoring contests lately

It's obvious there should be some limit. Aside disturbing I don't think it's even effect anymore at this volume. If you ask me to name the aff.programs that have started them I will not be able to tell you unless I go back now and check.

What are your thoughts?

There are too many contests going on at the same time for sure.
I can't keep them straight.
More of those triva and more of those random post winner contest would be great.
Anything but those $0.50 etc pay per post contests, they breed surfers and bots

I never look at them and couldn't tell you who is running them.

But thank god the sponsors throw away money on sig whoring idiots, instead of rewarding their actual affiliates, though. It would be a real shame to do something for the people who actually send them joins. Plus, they get the added bonus of clogging the whole board and making it a pain in the ass for everyone else to read.

I don't mind to be 1st page, a special section will kill most type of topics. If you remember it was 1-2 companies that started this style and after a while everyone jumped a copied them and now we even have official postwhoring rules to be followed. My suggestion is gfy mods should allow only contests that are not related with postwhoring or limit those to 2-3 each time, there are plenty of things someone can do, just needs a bit of imagination.

And yes handing money to ppl that have no place in this industry isn't that smart move. If you put requirement send us at least 3 sales over a month period otherwise your prize will be voided you'll end up not handing anything since none of them actually has website or gets any traffic.

I think affiliate companies REALLY REALLY need to hire themselves some creative marketing people.

These cut and paste "post in this thread" promotions are tired, and are nothing but flypaper for postbots and contests whores with no traffic.
