Who on here plays still? I took a break for a month or so but am going to start playing again now.

Pounded through the game in four months as a mage with a sharp guild, killed Onyxia, Ragnaros, all of MC, the whole nine yards, and finally came to this startling conculsion:
The game is one giant, boring, repetitive grind. Quit and never loaded it up again.
Battlegrounds was a little fun, added some extra spice, but that also got old. I guess just not enough variety maybe. It seemed that even the Molten Core was no different in playstyle than the first instance I ever played in the game...
Still a good memory, but thankfully JUST a memory. Needed to get back to work, lol.

As I said, been there, done that. Even with friends, it gets real real old doing that 50th instance run...not many laugh-out-loud moments once you've logged five hundred or more hours.Originally posted by groarkYeah it's grinding and stuff. But when you got a base of ppl or some RL friends or just ppl you know... and play togehter with them, its quite cool
It actually left me disappointed, as I am connected to that industry, and know the developers personally, and they are incredibly talented. The Steven Speilbergs and Martin Scorseses of their field, no question. And even they couldn't create a video game that wasn't fairly shallow in terms of repetitive play.
Makes me think the entire video game genre will never expand out to what people like myself thought it would be 20 years ago...

after 35 ish days of playtime i quit and cancelled my account. i had to choose between living in azeroth or england, i think i made the right choice
i played since beta and on eu servers didnt manage to get to ragnaros in mc, it was hard enough to get 40 people that were l60 anyway. last resort managed to take down kazzak for the first time on our server at about the time i quit, battlegrounds wasnt around then, i still miss it.. but wont go back.Comment

Just stoped my payment for that game. It was very boring the last few weeks. I dont want to hang out in high-lvl instances for hours for a crappy set item. Battlegrounds are funny, but not enough to keep me paying for it. Maybe I'll start playing BF2 nowSIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

Well I learned this valueable lesson from EQ years ago. These games are much more fun if you play them like a marathon and not a sprint. Take your time, enjoy every essence of the game. There is no need to be the first person to do this or that. No one will ever remember that you are that person anyways.
There are a bunch of us from the board and the industry on Tichondrious. So if anyone wants to join us several of us are already 60 and have alts of all levels.
Hit me up any time

Blackwing Lair came out. Another 40-person raid. With Tier-2 epic items, and bosses much harder than MC.Originally posted by MakoPounded through the game in four months as a mage with a sharp guild, killed Onyxia, Ragnaros, all of MC, the whole nine yards, and finally came to this startling conculsion:
