I understand your point 100%, and with all due respect we do not know each other, so its a shame we are meeting or speaking to one another over a horrible situation. But please know one thing abvout me if nothing else. I value my business and my members . EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM. I always pay my bills, photographers, hosts on time EVERYTIME to make sure my members are always pleased and never suffer any inconveniences. Therefore, I make sure my members are pampered. As for needing their content, I urge you to browse just our tours and you will see that we dont need their content. Our members area has more than the tours just so you know. We just offered its a bonus to keep our members extra happy and pampered.

i don't see andreas as innocent (he did make the mistake) but i also don't see him as having to backpay more than a month to be honest. A month is MORE than ample time for someone to catch something if it's on their site and not what they wanted - esp if the site owner cares about his site and if it's longer the site owner should realize it's also their fault at that point for not spotting it sooner.
my opinion is refund the last month of service in full and go your seperate ways. just my

If your host was down for 24 hours it would cost you a TON more money than an upsell on 4 pages of a feed, yet the compensation you would seek from your host would be far less than what you're seeking here. Even though it was clearly the hosting companies fault that your server was down.
I agree 100% that this was NA's mistake, it shouldn't have happened, and you have every right to be upset.
The part I disagree with is coming up with some arbitrary number (3 months @ $2000) for compensation and then trying to ruin someone's reputation on the boards and calling them a crook because they won't meet your price.
