With all respect (and God knows, you're due), Barefoot, I think it highly unlikely you'll manage 100 percent. I think the success of any roll-over depends on several factors, including the nature of the site and the loyalty of members. We expected that around 20 percent would follow-us to the new billing company (particularly since we offered them 30 percent off their memberships!!!!) since they represent the hardest of the hard-core constituency for our site. I'm guessing that we'll score another five-to-ten percent over the next week, but the others are lost forever. Thank you Paymonde!
For those interested in our marketing in this difficult situation, I shall say only that we followed the esteemed Barefoots advice and direction, e-mailed all of our Paymonde members, explained what happened and gave them an incentive to re-join (as above). We followed up that email with another, shorter one on Thursday, reminding them that their access was ending on the 1st of December and urging them to rejoin at the new improved rate.
I don't know what else we could have done to improve the response rate save calling them on the phone (LOL)...but we're certainly open to any other suggestions.
Oh did I remember to say that it's yet ANOTHER DAY without a single cent from Paymonde? Oh yeah, another day, another no dollar.
