Question for the web hosting gurus

I'm being hit again by email header forgeries indicating I'm sending spam from one of my domains. Again i have to convince peeps I'm not spamming. (really)

I also still got some goof trying to update the dns zone on another box 2x an hour with some kinda bot, and his high speed cable connection provider (Rogers Cable, Canada) wants all kina detailed logs etc, just to yell at this dude, but thats the least of my worries lately.

I only use the email server on the box to inform me of signups to a forum, blog, etc, nothing else.

Will disabling the email server on a dedicated box cause any issues with the domain rules, regulations, etc regarding an abuse@domain contact????

I'm inclinded to just disable the email server entirely so I can then say no way is that ip doing anything its not supposed to be doing.....

getting tired of this junk
thanks
