Kind of an odd way to break news - the "Producer" doesn't know a Press Release is going out.
From what I learned, there have already been auditions in five other cities (including New York, LA and Philidelphia), but there was no mention of KB prior to today's release that I could find.
The other info I have come across so far indicated that the Producers are Gil Ripley and Dave Roberts, so I tried to see what previous experience these two gentlemen had in producing reality TV shows (or any shows that actually made it to network broadcast).
They have a link to a radio interview that they did about a month ago that indicates they actually have not had a single show picked up by a U.S. Network or Cable (they also have zero experience producing reality shows, and damn it, they didn't mention KB once).
Here's a link to the interview...interesting stuff:
So when exactly did you actually get involved with Ultimate, KB?
Did you recently buy into it, or are you providing PR hype in exchange for a share down the road if the show makes it?
If you bought into it, then you have some big cajones, because unless you beat some rather astronomical odds, the chances are good that you can kiss that investment goodbye.
Every reality show that is on the air that I am aware of was produced by a company with a track record and major financial backing.
So far I am seeing nothing but a pitch. Aside from the Host (George Gray, who has never had a TV show last beyond one season), I am not seeing anyone with experience in creating a reality TV show.
Since the networks have already completed their Fall Schedules, and the Pilot has not even been shot yet, I'm guessing that Donald Trump and the folks at Survivor and Fear Factor can breathe a sigh of relief that they won't be bumped by the Ultimate Ultimate Challenge anytime soon.
I'm not saying that the show can't or won't make it, because it would be cool to have a fellow GFY'er make it big on the little screen.
Also, I'm not disssing you KB, just making some observations and trying to cut through the hype by asking a few questions.
All of that aside, e-mail me about how to hook up with you this weekend for drinks or something since you will be in my neighborhood:

Good luck, and if you need some Asian eye candy for your show, let me know.

The man asks a lot of good questions. He do. He do.
You have done some homework my friend!
I am impressed!
Gil and Dave finally got their BIG BREAK on this project.
I signed on to this project 7 mos ago when their funding fell through-
We initially worked on a " porn related" idea and was producing it - when this opportunity came along.
Knowing the huge potential I rounded up some investors as well as put some of my own money into this- and low and behold we have been greenlighted-
I can't devulge too much information however as I stated I am bound by confidentiality-
However I will say this...
Ultimate Ultimate Challenge is NOT the name of the show
We cannot even disclose the real name of the show it' so top secret.
I am sorry I can't tell you more-
and Yes, George Gray never had a huge success but the world will fall in love with him on an Island in the Carribean-
Evan and Michael, CEO and CTO and owners of http://XPays.com publicly announce that we are 100% certain that KB will not beat either one of us when we play golf soon here during KB's s.f. shenanigan's.
When reached for comment, Michael may have said "We may have to give KB a stroke per hole to keep things interesting. I hear D$ has the golf genes in the family."

Personally, I think George Gray is a good choice as a Host. I like his acerbic wit.
As for the rest, like I said, good luck.
Okay, well, e-mail me if you have time to get together this weekend.

like donkey kong
except we play for pride at 25 cents per skin. bring a roll of quarters.
Call it "Wild Thing" and have Tone Loc sing the theme song (just change some of the lyrics to fit the show). "Wild Thing" reaches across generations (the song was a hit in three different decades for different performers) and the name is catchy and could work well for promo pieces.

I wasn't kidding. Look at how the old O'Jay's chestnut "For the Love of Money" works so well for Trump's show (the O'Jay's even got to play during a season live finale, so it worked great for them too).
It would cost more, but it would be cool if you could get the right's to the Trogg's and Hendrix's version of Wild Thing as well, although I think the Tone Loc version would be good by itself. Since you guys already have connections with Tone, I'm sure you can convince him that it would be a good move for him.

Well, to be honest, Tone Loc was a dick. I wouldn't want to give him the business. He was very unprofessional at our Players Ball. His performance was alright, but he was supposed to do a scheduled meet and great with our sponsors and he wouldn't do it at our time we had planned. So fuck him.
I'd rather include Flavor Flav on a project or B Real.

Not sure which songs of theirs would fit.
It's your show...
Who knows? It could be a good chance for Tone Loc to make amends, lol.
All I'm saying is that you know you need a song with a good hook to grab the attention of your audience, and that's one song that does it in the first few licks, plus the name "Wild Thing" could be a snappy name for an extreme reality show.
But hey...you are the marketing geniuses, I am just a humble webmaster that peddles porn.
I'm sure you guys will come up with something that rocks the house.
Love for you to come by the casting call and say hello-
I'm sure you will be busy at the cattle...er, I mean casting call. If you want to meet up at some other time, let me know, otherwise I'll catch you down the road.
Nice weather expected in the Bay Area this weekend, although this is fog season in San Francisco, so bring clothes for sun and fog.
thats an understatement. out of respect to you he didn't catch a verbal assault that i know woulda hurt his feelings. i know Alist artists that don't even act like that.
I disagree
Mainstream Television is ripe for the picking these days
In case you didn't know- Reality TV is sweeping the nation.
reality game shows are 3 years ago, good reality television is the Real World/Road Rules challenge b.s and even that sucks.
I dont necessarily think mainstream movie/production are anti Porn, Bangbus has had 3 requests to be used in Hollywood movies and took up 2 of them, 1 shot a month ago and had 3 celebrities driving the actual bus haha.
Not too mention it's been mentioned in countless rap songs, howard stern, newspapers, all that shit.. so who knows, anything is possible i guess.
San Francisco-based internet company, Yelp (www.yelp.com) pulled their sponsorship from 'the Ultimate, Ultimate Challenge', a new 'extreme' reality show being produced by Kevin Blatt

so that means there's an open spot for yahoo.com to take it's place

PROTEST ON SATURDAY
PORN PRODUCER PERPETUATES GAY STEREOTYPES AND
OBJECTIFICATION OF WOMEN WITH HIS NEW REALITY SHOW
This Saturday, July 16, at 1980 UNION STREET, San Francisco, CA, a protest is scheduled at the auditions of a reality show titled the Ultimate Ultimate Challenge. The show?s producers have been making offensive statements about the gay community and misogynistic comments on how women will have to compete during the competition.
In a recent radio interview one of the show creators said, ?We already have our gay character, so we?re looking for other types of people.? Other types of people? Perhaps they?re now simply looking for the ?uppity black? character? Or the submissive Asian woman?
The show?s Executive Producer, the same person who puts out celebrity sex tapes (best known for making public the Paris Hilton Sex Tape and now the Colin Ferrell Sex Tape), claims that ?no woman will have to do anything they?re not of age to do.?
If Reality TV has taught us one thing, it is that our society is suggestible. Do not allow Reality TV to force-feed the public blanket stereotypes, or exploit people for purely entertainment purposes.
We need to educate the public and let television Networks know that this is unacceptable programming, that it is counter-productive to all who have been spending years fighting for gay rights, women?s rights, human rights.
YOUR VOICE NEEDS TO BE HEARD!
