We have been having a big storm here over the last couple days , without power most of the time. Today i walked around my property checking for damage along the fencelines when i hear a loud crack, my first instict however faulty is to look up, but strangely i didnt, something in the back of my head told me to dive. I was midway through sending the dive signal to my legs when i was struck my a falling limb (20-30 ft long by 3/4 of a foot thck ). Falling from about 55ft up a 100 ft tree
Right ontop of my noggin.. i heard a "snap" in my neck and was driven to the ground. I lay there thinking oh shit i broke my neck.. but to my suprise i hopped up right away and no problems.. INFACT it seems whatever cracked in my neck made it looser , feels like i have been to a chiropracter..

Anyways it really makes you appreciate life.. if the limb had fallen vertical instead of horizontal i would have been impaled by the tree branch.. or if i indeed had looked up, i would have broken every bone in my face.
