    Trixie: Huh? This is an honest question. As someone who cares greatly about gun ownership, I wouldn't want to move to a country where they are not legal.
    Franck: Maybe in a country where thet are not legal you also wouldnt need one because other people also are not walking around with guns???

                              I do not know one person that has had their life altered and destroyed by guns, and I know a LOT of people with guns. I do, however, know MANY people that have had their life destroyed by drugs and alcohol.

                                      Second, stop the anti-gun crusade that you've been on the past few days on GFY. Enough.

                                      What many Euros and Canadians don't understand is that spending time at a gun range is actually fun, it has nothing to do necessarily with being fucking Rambo in fantasies about home intruders you have to "heroically fight off" in the middle of the night...

                                      A lot of us just like putting holes in paper at a long distance, because it's difficult and takes practice. In a lot of ways, I find it very similar to golf to be honest, the pre-shot routine is a lot like trying to repeat the perfect swing, any little mistake sends the bullet/ball off course.

                                      So STFU on the Michael Moore BS, the endless "guns are bad" stats you've been regurgitating here, and the judgemental attitude. For most of us, it's just a hobby.

                                                      Try living for a month in DC. Either you'd be dead by week 2 or you'd be in fucking line at the gun store.

                                                      Here in Winnipeg I don't know anyone that owns guns except hunters. My two older brothers both own guns for such purposes, but I know no one who keeps like a handgun for protection.

                                                      But I appreciate having the right to own one should I ever decide to do so. I'm in favore of preserving people's rights, not reducing them. And I have no sympathy whatsoever for a criminal or would-be rapist getting his head shot off by a gun owner protection him or her self. :D

                                                              I don't recall stating that guns don't or haven't killed people, of course they do. For you to disregard what I said is pretty silly though, because it is true.

                                                              Show me stats about gun deaths, I'll show you stats about drug/alcohol deaths. We can go round and round. You have done it before, so have I. The same rule always ends up holding true: responsible gun, drug, and alcohol use hurts nobody.

                                                                                  Nice to see security at school uses it for when they can't get thru a crowd, nice to see policemen use it on a man that's being held down by 8 other officers. I can go on and on and on... Yay for legal gunpossession.

                                                                                      saw a guy getting shot last Monday - first time since I came in South Africa in 1996, simply made the mistake to drive late at night through a shitty neighborhood instead of going straight to the highway
                                                                                      So yea, if you live in a nice suburb you wont see people getting shot every day but in many places here or in the States that shit happens all the time.
