i'm kind of looking forward to the real cold weather...its my first winter here in canada...and before moving here i lived in australia for 3 years where it didnt get colder than +10c in the winter...i'm guessing the novelty will wear off soon, but like I said I don't mind it so much since I barely leave the house...

first canadian winter, ya, believe me, a month or so when the real cold hits, the novelty is really going to wear off. the mid january weather gets down to that -30 and -35 area in edmonton, but it's the windchill that gets you. seriously down to -50 some days. you can't make it a couple blocks walking, no matter how much you bundle up with freezing up like a posicle some nights. its not an all the time thing, but it's rough when it hits. if you pick and choose when you leave the house, you should be ok. ..
Mid-60's here (I guess that is around +18 C), but very sunny, so it feels warmer. Just came off the tennis court. Time for some brunch and maybe a mimosa or two out on the porch, and then back to the tennis court...

ADG Webmaster
Nice ADG Webmaster! I'll be back in sunny so cal in 2 weeks, so I think I can grin and bear it. Either that or my face is frozen like this.
We've had some extreme weather in Melbourne recently. We are in spring but a couple of weeks ago it went below 0C/32F (ie freezing point) in some areas, then last week it hit a fairly warm 33C/94F. I think it's broken the record for both the lowest and highest temp in November.
The max it hit during last summer was about 43C/110F. If we're in for more extremes then we could have some serious probs this year!
