These fuckin guys manipulated energy prices soo bad it is isn't even funny.
They have taped conversations of Enron Energy Brokers phoning the power plants in California and telling the power guys to shut the plants down.
Then the brokers would laugh as they started spiking the prices.
Electricty that goes for $30 megawatt/h would go to $1k.
They are fucking laughing the entire time.
They caused rolling blackouts in January so they could raise some revenue for their Quarter report.
Not only that but Enron really made No money the entire time it was in existence they played with the accounting so they were valuing what power was 10 and 20 years down the road and reporting the profits that day.
The Craziest thing about all of this is after watching this movie you get the feeling that is exactly what they are doing with Oil.
These people fucked with over 300 million people in the United States and Skilling got less then 20 years. plus they went and hid all their money...fuck what a joke. I guess it is kinda funny.
