                                      If you're looking for a mix of both including economy etc get Caesar 4.
                                      Cossacks/Anno 1701 are also great fun.

                                          I've always wanted to play the newest Total War game. I think it's Rome: Total War or something along those lines. Not sure if it's exactly what you are looking for though.
