most are about the same. water, sugar, salt. you can add seasonings to taste. boil 1 gallon of water and add 1lb of kosher salt. add 1lb of sugar/honey/brown sugar.. let the salt/sugar disolve. add 2 quarts of vegetable stock. add the bird to a cooler and throw in a 7lb bag of ice.

I'm just on a small lake though - the big lakes are WAY out of my price range. But I have a lot next to me I own that's lakefront - we can make a cooking/real estate trade

i have a wood smoker i built but this is a cheapo gas smoker from wallyworld... see the link from Peaches above. its the top one which is the wider of the two.
i want to get a fancy stainless one from sams to match my grill at some point
heres the bird finished. the butts are wrapped in foil and still going for another couple hours.
