Do .net domains get many type-ins?

I know they are great for SEO if you want to develop them, but what if you just want to setup an affiliate code redirect to an established paysite of the same name.

I was just wondering how many surfers out there actually bother to type in the ".net" version. Anyone make much $$$ that way?

The key rule here is you will always lose a big percentage of the type-ins to the .com -- you should own them both if possible.

I didnt want to start a .net thread so i will ask it in here....

how much is a .net worth compared to a .com?

for example, would you say sex.net is worth 1/10th of sex.com or less? 1/25? 1/50th? 1/100th?

            I need to know.

Ya definately. I'm just wondering if there is much money in scooping up unregistered ".net" domains that already have a corresponding ".com" with an affiliate program in place.

Example: if I purchased bangbus.net and redirected it to bangbus.com via my affiliate code (I wish that was still available)

I know some affiliate programs might frown on this, but most of them that do have already purchased the ".net" version of their domain.

its possible to make it worthwhile on a small-scale to my experience, but the type-ins are marginal so you gotta find something big.
