TIME..... that's important too, I am a mom of 4 and two of mine are older and I don't feel like I have a lot of time with them sometimes, they are growing up so fast. Add in your basket to her, a little gift certificate for her favorite restaurant and make it for you and her, just the two of you, and go out with her and have a nice dinner, just some alone, "us" time. That means the world to us moms, especially when the children are older and time isn't so much on the top of the list anymore. Especially when there are other kids..... this will give you both some catchup time so she can make sure you are "doing ok".

I agree though, don't do a joint gift here. Let your girl get her something on her own, and you do something for your mom. If you are living together or married, you can do a joint gift AND a seperate one, but it's always more meaningful when you give her a little something more personal from YOU. This way she doesn't ever wonder if your girl went out and got the things and just tagged your name on them. ;)

Us moms are pretty easy, when you get older, we just want some one on one time, to know you still care.
