Things like this and worse happen every day... but society says it's ok, and society says it's ok because there is no punishment or censure for the individuals OR the government.
I'm not in favour of the 'it's religion' excuse (though I'm no fan of religion either) but there is something seriously screwed up in countries running under Sharia Law... it's like using religion to abuse the legal system in the worst way possible.
