Do you have the 70-200mm f2.8 IS yet? If not, you may want to compare size and weight with the newly released 70-200mm f4 IS. The f4 is not exactly light, and the f2.8 is about twice the weight. You'll notice it if you're hand holding.
That's assuming you don't actually *need* to go down to f2.8
