    Last month, during my trip to Myanmar, I met a group of women with 12-inch necks wrapped in brass coils.

          I have been to a village in Thailand that is populated by one of those hilltribes.

          These days, girls have a choice as to whether they do that or not. The neck isn't actually elongated - the shoulders are just depressed.
