100 years later france supplied the south with military aid.
France is in the business of arms trade & profiteering, not nation building.
its too bad it never taught itself how to use the weapons they sell -
I don't think that you can find even one example throughout the history of mankind where one country had sent troops to 'help' another country without benefiting form it one way or another, it's just the way the cookie crumbles I guess.Originally posted by pr0100 years later france supplied the south with military aid.

Yea but France has a long history of supplying just about anyone. Not that I supported going in to Iraq or anything.. But it's no big secret that the reason France and Russia was "so" against it was simply because they would lose millions of dollars in deals with Saddam.
Let's also not forget all the "good" deeds France has done in Africa..In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

"The French are a smallish, monkey-looking bunch and not dressed any better, on average, than the citizens of Baltimore.
True, you can sit outside in Paris and drink little cups of coffee, but why this is more stylish than sitting inside and drinking large glasses of whiskey I don't know." --- P.J O'RourkeComment
