    Another Christian Sex Offender

    Joseph Edward Duncan III, a registered Level III Sex Offender from Fargo, N.D. and the man who was just arrested for kidnapping those two kids in Idaho, was a Christian.

    Many of you read my Donny's Ramblings blog. So you may be aware that just a few days ago I blogged about the connection between most serial killers and Christianity.

    Today I'm reading through this sick fucks blog and notice that he's constantly talking about God and losing his faith, etc.

    Damn, religion fucks people up.

      It isn't as much Christianity as which brands or sects. American flavor Protestants have lost one of the major doctorines of European Christian faith - freedom of choice (St. Augustine) based from the concept of original sin. Don't forget that alot of these ultra-conservative sects moved to the U.S. because their views were considered too out of the mainstream in Europe - a highly regulated and structured way of life leads to Heaven.

          All I know is that there have been many people who's heads are FUBAR because of religious crap. Religion is good at making people feel worthless and bad about themselves.

                  There are murders, kidnappings etc. every day across this country. 100's. 1 guy shows up on the news in a big story and for you it becomes that they are mostly Christian...LOL

                  You're hearing about the big stories. There are 100's, 1,000's of little stories...and I'm sure 99.9% of prisoners were fundamentalist christians...LOL...use your brain for thinking not hating.

                          I read the statistics recently on CNN.com. Since 1950 nearly 4% of all priests were either accused or convicted of a sexual offense with a minor.

                              Well, anyone who is a fundamentalist is pretty screwed up to start with. It's sort of a chicken or egg problem I think. Most recovering drug addicts I've ever seen/met had become "born again"... weak people need a crutch.

                              Anyway, I'm biased. I think anyone who believes the earth is 12k years old, and that the virgin mary was a virgin, hasn't been outside very much.

                                              Did it ever cross your mind that people like to make excuses, and refuse to accept responsibility for their actions?

                                              Considering the number of Christians out there it is no wonder that some might be sex offenders, cops, firemen, presidents, murderers, bank robbers, gang bangers, doctors, nurses, pornographers, queens, architechs, football players, golfers, bikers, swimmers.

                                              His blaming Christianity for being a sex offender is just as inane as your suggestion that it is the cause.

                                              I am willing to bet you can find agnostics, Muslims, athiests, Jews, Hindu and pagans that are sex offenders too.

                                                          Being accused and being convicted are two entirely different things. It surprises me that any news source would lump the two into the same category to make the figure sound more alarming. An interesting statistic would be what percentage of those accused were convicted.

                                                          What i find particularly alarming is the statistics relating to child molestation amongst the general population. They're giving the priests a run for their money. And call me cynical, but given the church's history of settling out of courst, i'd be extremely surprised if a massive number of accusations aren't phony. The church has very deep pockets, afterall.

                                                              Christians fuck up people's minds. Period. I've been around them all my life, as you know if you've read the Luke Ford interview in my sig. My father is a retired Pastor. I know what Christianity does to people better than most here.

                                                              Hell, I even have a large portion of scripture memorized. As a Preacher's Kid I was expected to win the Bible Quiz contests, and I did. It wasn't even a challenge.

                                                              I speak from experience. I have seen the people who have been completely mind fucked by Christians. They are made to feel like they are sinners and worthless. That is preached at every church, actually.

                                                              "For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God". "The wages of sin is death..."

                                                              People are told they are worthless without God. This is preached from every Christian pulpit. Yes, EVERY Christian pulpit. When people are "livin' for the Lord" they are welcomed. When they fuck up they are shunned. This treatment fuels a lot of self destructive behavior.

                                                              The sad part is that the people who self destruct desperately want to return to the "flock". They do everything they can to be accepted. When they finally realize they're human and will never "measure up", many of them give up on living a decent life. They incorrectly equate Christianity with good living and feel that nothing outside of it is pure or worthwhile.

                                                              Many of these people, when their worlds crash, turn to drugs, alchohol, or crime.

                                                              Again, I've seen it happen since I was old enough to remember. This is not Donny talking out his ass. This is not "ignorance". This is experience.

                                                                  Are they responsible for their actions? Of course. But I also look a little deeper to the root of the problem. Every single one of them was made to feel worthless by Christians.

                                                                      Eros and Baddog... I am out of here. This is a very touchy subject for me and I start feeling anger well up inside when I think back over some of the things I've seen and experienced. The two of you can have your opinions. I disagree. I always will. Christianity (and other religions as well) is a direct cause of a lot of pain and suffering. Think about Crusades, Holy Wars, genocides...
