I don't know about others, but I find that the way I think about people affects their attractiveness to me. It's much easier to overlook small physical "flaws" when you truly enjoy someone's company, be it as friends, or lovers. Nobody is perfect, those who expect perfection are ALWAYS disappointed, and that's most certainly no way to start a relationship. Such things are always doomed to fail.
