what program do you use? Adobe if by far the best, I have my ps set up so i can cut 7 galleries, a total of a 117 thumbnails, in 20mins

Yeah, you can write a script in PS that will do that for you. You can do it in PSP also. There's also a program called Arles that does it, but I never liked the results with it.

Chameleon Submitter has a good cropping tool inside that will prepare all of the thumb sizes your gallery needs for different TGP/MGP sites within a few seconds and since this goes automatically, you dont need to do shit

i loaded photoshop for a good 2 minutes but closed it and opend up irfanview because its WAY faster

every program has its disadvantages - manual cropping still gets the best results so you wont end up with 1 eye models or skin parts on 88x88 that look like nothing

Check out Remote Thumbs (assuming your cropping for TGP's). They do all the cropping for you.

Never cropped here, but use thumbnailer.exe to make thumbs.

I always crop by hand, boring as hell, but I like the results better. I have Batch It on one of the computers, but I never use it. Arles seems to be extrmely popular.

If you want all your crops the same size, perhaps tell us what program you are using and we will tell you how to set it up correctly

I wouldn't recommend this as a solution unless you want wierd pixelation on the images ...

Do you want to crop every pic the same, or are you needing to crop each one manually?

If you need to do each pic manually just set the size of your crop tool in photoshop so each turns out the same size. While the crop tool is selected, you will see a properties bar up the top (in cs) with a drop down that has an option 'fixed size' ... select this and it will let you enter a pixel value for width and height.

Another program that hasn't been mentioned here is debabelizer (www.equilibrium.com) ... you can setup batch lists and scripts with a number of properties including the ability to, for example, crop 21 pixels from the bottom and 43 from the right.
