315x300 seems to be good also.

Hope you don't have mobile or tablet traffic. It surprises me sponsors are consumed with making flash banners in this day and age.

Don't use flash - mobile is overtaking desktop and this results in the problem that NOBODY on mobile will see the banners.

As most flvs are pulled in an iframe, it's easy to drop in some code to display a static banner if mobile/tablet

                    Use animated gif or mpeg4.

Flash is legacy soon -- we no longer develop with it.

That's when you run your ads on openx and end this problem with few plugins

Yet, that is all most sponsors seem to be spitting out on a regular basis. Their gifs and static banners are few and far between and usually years old.

we constantly try and get people to promote animated over flash.. but, as with icq, people still insist on using it..

It's laziness and an unwillingness to adapt to the (quickly) changing browsing habits of people. Matt Cutts has already signalled that soon mobile will overtake desktop on Google, why the adult industry (which once used to lead in marketing trends) won't accept this amazes me.

Agreed. It's stupid that people still develop banners using flash.
