ICQ keeps on disconnecting then reconnects. it sucks esp. when you're in a middle of a conversation.

had the baddest ICQ day yesterday. im hearing the ICQ Alerts but couldn't see the message and that's crap

ICQ stops working for me usually from like 3 pm so i just switch to Trillian and works like magic

There is a 600 contact limit on ICQ. You'll need to delete some people to make room for some new people.

I think this one doesn't have the contact limit. At least my friend told me so, he uses it. I can't test it cos I'm on a Mac.

Not sure if its not more an ISP thing than an ICQ thing.

We have used Trillian since it first came out and it kills the standard ICQ dead.

Using Trillian (Pro). Love it. Plus you get all major IMs at the same time. Lots of extras.

Are you getting error 133 or 134 ? That means you have too many people on your list. Icq is very unstable these days and won't let me login until later in the day. I do agree it sucks

I have to delete someone before I can add someone, which is fine - it helps me to constantly purge my list.

However, ICQ refused to connect for me this afternoon so I've been using Triallian.

why the hell do people have such problems with icq?

just stop downloading the new versions, they are all bulky and filled with ads. i use older versions of icq STRICTLY and i have never had a single problems.

go there and try a few of the older versions and see what works best, you WILL notice the difference, i am against any updates for programs like icq/msn and i never have problems.
