1) most important reason is procreation (also poor people tend to have as many kids as possible cos only some of them will grow up. they can't afford hospitals and sometimes even food so they give birth to 10-15 kids so at least 5 of them could survive)
2) support. children support their old parents. the more kids you have - the more chances you won't be starving when you are old. Rich people don't have this motivation.
3) cheap labor/ more working hands
4) ignorance. they don't know about condoms, or don't know how to use them, or their religion doesn't allow condoms or abortion etc
5) just fun. most of them never travel, visit theatres, watch TV (cos they don't have any) so their only entertainment is sex.
